Begin your experience in the fresh mountain atmosphere of Tetebatu, where the sound of birds and the gentle breeze create a completely different feeling from the busy coastal areas of Lombok. With a local guide, explore the famous rice field terraces and follow small village paths between layers of bright green paddies.

Learn how the terraces are more than beautiful scenery; they are part of the daily life of local farmers. Along the way, your guide can explain how rice is planted, cared for, harvested, and traditionally connected to the community.

As the path leads farther into the countryside, the scenery slowly changes from open rice fields to lush tropical vegetation. Pass through local community gardens where different plants and fruit trees grow together. Look closely and you may see coffee, cocoa, coconut, banana, avocado, durian, and many other tropical plants depending on the season.

Understand how local families use the land and how fresh ingredients move naturally from the garden to the village kitchen. Your guide can introduce the plants, explain how they are cultivated, and share stories about traditional farming practices. You may see farmers working in the fields, hear chickens and birds around the gardens, or catch the aroma of freshly growing coffee and tropical fruit.

The adventure then takes you towards the forest, where Tetebatu's famous monkey habitat offers another side of the landscape. Walking beneath the shade of tropical trees, keep your eyes open for playful long-tailed macaques moving through the branches. Their natural behaviour brings the forest to life, while the surrounding vegetation creates a peaceful atmosphere for a memorable nature walk. Your guide will help you observe the monkeys respectfully and safely without disturbing their natural environment.

Hidden among the greenery is a refreshing waterfall, where clear mountain water flows through the tropical forest. The sound of rushing water becomes stronger as you approach, creating a relaxing atmosphere after the walk. Take time to enjoy the cool air, listen to the forest, capture photographs, or simply sit near the waterfall and appreciate the natural surroundings.
