Overview

Ciudad Perdida (Lost City) is the archaeological territory of an ancient Tayrona city located in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta whose construction is attributed to the year 800 A.D. many years before Machu Picchu.

The Tayrona paradise is made up of a series of terraces dug into the mountainside formed by a network of tiled roads and small circular squares. Get to Ciudad Perdida is done by climbing some 1200 stone steps through the vast jungle of the region, an adventure that begins in the city of Santa Marta and forces you to cross kilometres of mountain between rivers and jungle, an unforgettable experience that will allow you to meet the natives of the area, have an experience amid nature and live an extreme journey between the mountain and the sea.

Day 1: Santa Marta - El Mamey - Camp 1

Drive for 3 hours in a 4x4 Van towards to El Mamey town.
Parque Nacional Natural Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta
We gonna walk for 4hrs towards the Camp 1.
Day 2: Camp 1 - Mutanzi - Camp 3

  • Meals: breakfast, lunch, snacks
  • Accommodation: We'll spend the night in bed, hammock or tent.

- We left the Camp 1 around 6:30 am. - We will walk for 2:30 hours to the native village Mutanzi. - Stop for observation, information, and photography. - We will walk for one hour to the Camp 2 for lunch. - We will have free time in the natural pool. - After lunch, we will walk for four hours until we reach the Camp 3 (El Paraíso).
Day 3: Camp 3 - Lost City - Camp 2
