Spending a full day in the serene surroundings of Lucerne reveals the charming heart of Switzerland. Views of Albis Pass and Lake Lucerne paint a remarkable backdrop for your journey. Take in the city's main sights with an orientation tour before enjoying an afternoon of independent sightseeing.

After a breathtakingly beautiful drive south from Zurich through the Albis Pass mountain range, you arrive in the picture-perfect city of Lucerne. Whether you casually ponder the breathtaking panorama, shop for sought-after souvenirs, dig through the city's history, or savour some sinful chocolates, the city is sure to charm you.

After a short orientation tour, you have several hours to explore the sights and attractions at your leisure. You might choose to amble through the Old Town, cross over the 14th-century Chapel Bridge, rest your feet on the new City Train, enjoy a lake promenade, or visit the Lion Monument, praised by Mark Twain as “the most mournful and moving piece of stone in the world.”
