What you can expect

  • This 2-day tour invites you to discover the magic of Lake Titicaca through three unique experiences: a visit to the floating islands of Uros, the traditional island of Taquile, and an experiential night in the community of Luquina Chico.

    The first day begins with departure from the cruise port of Puno. You will sail to the Uros, where you will learn how these floating islands are built entirely of totora reeds. You will learn about their history, culture and way of life. You will then continue on to Taquile, an island famous for its UNESCO-recognized textile tradition and its panoramic views. There, you'll enjoy a typical lunch prepared by the villagers.

    In the afternoon, you will arrive at Luquina Chico, a rural community that welcomes tourism with identity and warmth. You will be welcomed by a local family and stay at the TITICACA LODGE - LUQUINA, a rural accommodation with solar energy, hot water, and a view of the lake. You'll take part in a guided hike or experiential workshop (weaving, cooking, fishing, or farming, depending on the season) and enjoy a home-cooked dinner.

    The second day begins with an Andean breakfast. Then you can take part in a final activity before returning to Puno in the afternoon.

    This experience will allow you not only to visit the main attractions of Lake Titicaca, but also to experience the local culture from the inside, directly supporting families who work for fair, authentic, and sustainable tourism.
