Explore Lutherstadt Wittenberg, the “cradle of the Reformation,” on a guided tour.

Visit the Town Church of St. Mary, where Martin Luther preached, held the first German mass, and married Katharina von Bora. Discover one of the world's most historically significant churches. The church offers special openings for groups on request.

Next, head to the Castle Church with the famous door and Luther's grave inside, where Martin Luther famously nailed his Ninety-Five Theses, sparking the Protestant Reformation. It is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Continue to the Augusteum building, part of the university, to see the unique exhibit “Literally Luther. Facets of a Reformer.” Learn about Luther's legacy and associated displays while the Lutherhaus museum is being renovated until spring 2027. The exhibition is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
