Heading towards the elegant Grand Ducal Palace to which Luxembourg owes its title of “Grand Duchy”, let us walk towards the Hotel de Ville. At this site, Grand Duke William II laid the foundation for the country's very own Constitution.

Continuing along the route of righteousness, it will take you to the Judiciary City that has borne witness to crimes of far-reaching magnitude. Offering a more calming and scenic view are the Benedictine buildings of the Neumünster Abbey; however, they too are haunted by vestiges of the past. If you then turn your eyes towards the other side of the Alzette river, you will see the statue of Melusina, whose tale is just as endearing as it is tragic. Walking uphill, you will reach the Castle Bridge.
