You will take an engine-powered boat and travel for about 45 minutes to the Mabamba site.
The guide will pay the entrance and activity fees. You will meet another captain and a site guide, board a local motorised canoe, and search for the shoebill while watching other bird species. The tour lasts for 1 hour.
After the encounter and taking photos, you will travel back to Mabamba Swamp and take the engine-powered boat to Nakiwogo Landing Site.
Walk through the community at the landing site and taste the highly recommended street food, Rolex.
Drive to Entebbe for a walking tour of the city.
Visit the Freedom Tree and learn about Uganda’s road to independence.
Next, visit the Botanical Gardens for birdwatching, storytelling, and sightings of vervet monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and monitor lizards. The visit takes 45 minutes.
Next, visit the oldest post office in Entebbe.
Next, visit the Muzinga cannon, which was used to overthrow Idi Amin’s dictatorship.
Next, visit the oldest church, which colonial masters used for their church services.
