Around 3:00 am we will at your hotel gate (according to the weather time could be 15 minutes earlier or later , we will tell you one day before), by car we are going for around 80 minutes, at the beggining in a nice highway them trought the deep jungle of Tambopata. At the sunrise time we are going by motor boat up to the river for around 30 minutes , searching for wildlife on the way: capibaras, caimans, birds until arrive to Chuncho macaw clay lick wich is the best tropical parrots experiences in the Amazon.
Chuncho macaw clay lick, is one of the most stunning wild spectacle, congregating the biggest and colourful macaws from this area: scarlets macaws, blue and yellow macaws, red and green macaws and many types of parrots and parakeets. Is a unique experience in the amazon area, and this excursion is a highlight for most of our travellers, considering the experience of our bilingual guides and the wildlife which can appear near the clay lick. After enjoying the spectacle of noise and colour, we returned to the boat to have the same way back to the town , expecting aarive at town around 11:00 am
