Dozza is best known for the Biennial of Contemporary Art of the Painted Wall, founded in 1960, which has transformed the town into an open-air museum that is always open to visitors. On top, the village has perfectly preserved its medieval urban layout, the highest point of which is the imposing Rocca, now a museum.
