What you can expect

In the heart of Sion, Maison Gilliard invites you to discover its wine-growing heritage, which spans more than 130 years.

This 90-minute guided tour takes you behind the scenes of authentic Valais wine production: from the vineyard to the glass, you will learn about the stages of winemaking, the ageing methods, and the unique characteristics of this Alpine terroir, which is one of a kind in Europe.

The tour concludes with a commented tasting of five wines that represent the richness of Valais grape varieties. To make the experience even more enjoyable, it is possible to pair the wines with regional specialities. Children up to 16 years old are welcome to join the tour free of charge, and they will receive a games booklet and take part in a specially adapted sensory activity, making this a fun outing for the whole family.
