What you can expect

  • In the heart of Sion, Maison Gilliard opens the doors to its wine heritage, which is over 130 years old.

    This 90-minute guided visit takes you behind the scenes of authentic Valais wine production: from the vineyard to the glass, you will discover the stages of winemaking, the ageing methods, and the specific characteristics of an alpine terroir that is unique in Europe.

    The visit concludes with a commented tasting of five wines representative of the richness of Valais grape varieties. To prolong the moment, it is possible to accompany the wines with regional specialities. Children up to 16 years old are welcome free of charge, with a games booklet and a specially adapted sensory activity, making it a fun outing for the whole family.
