Witness a breathtaking natural phenomenon with an evening on the waters of Manialtepec Lagoon, where you can admire its soft bioluminescent glow. Millions of microorganisms fill the waters to create a universe of deep hues that surround you during your boat trip off the shore.

The ride out from Puerto Escondido carries you to the lagoon, where you begin your journey aboard a boat that carries you out under the setting sun. As you cruise through the water, watch the amazing phenomenon as the tiny organisms around you light up the depths.

Created by chemical reactions within the miniscule creatures, the remarkable glow contrasts with the fading daylight and presents a unique vista for you to enjoy. Enjoy a unique look at this extraordinary wonder of biology before you step back on shore to begin your return trip.
