Starting from the Old Port, you'll visit the remains of the ancient port, where the Greeks settled over 2,600 years ago (already). Between pirate stories and fishermen's secrets, you'll embark on an adventure between past and present, followed by a cultural quiz and a stop at the Hotel de Cabre, the oldest existing house in Marseille.
You'll continue the tour with a stop at the majestic Intercontinental overlooking the Old Port and offering a breathtaking view of the mythical Bonne Mère, giving you a taste of life in Marseille.
Then, the first game to delight your senses: what are these soaps? A scent game based on the city's flagship product, the unparalleled Marseille soap. The goal is simple: you'll need to recognise and differentiate the smell of different soaps offered, blindfolded. The winner will get to take home a soap of their choice.
Our guide will then take you to the city's cradle, Le Panier. You'll discover the colourful and historic alleys in a Street Art hunt; you'll take part in the walk by taking a photo of yourself in front of the many graffiti. The best photo will win a prize, so get your cameras ready! :)
Time for the unmissable activity, Marseille's most famous: pétanque. You'll take part in a tournament in a typical club that will introduce you to the game, while enjoying a local drink and admiring Notre Dame de la Garde. A quiz on Marseille's local dialect will be part of the game. At the end of the 3 games, the winner will leave with a 100% Marseille jack.
Time for a tasting! Come and enjoy panisses and dive into their typically Marseillais history, then you'll take part in the Blind Test Pastis, a blind tasting of the famous aniseed drink. A non-alcoholic option is available for tasting. What's the prize? A local drink for the big winner!
