The central market is one of the best places to experience the best Mauritian food. You will find fresh, deep-fried gato pima, or chilli bites. Made with soaked split peas, zingy spring onions, and green chillies, these really do pop in your mouth.
Experience something different with some tropical seasonal fruits with an interesting optional fruit sauce.

Along the way, explore the old buildings, and a garden with their amazing trees with hanging roots.
