We invite you to our little secret: the barrio of La Pradera, part of Comuna 13, but still undiscovered and truly local. We want to keep it that way ;) so we only invite small groups, a few times per week.
You will take the cable car from San Javier station to Juan XXIII station where you will enjoy amazing views of La Comuna 13. Where most tourists go back down with the cable car, we will continue: your host will be waiting for you at the exit of the Metro station Juan XXIII. They will walk with you through the barrio of La Pradera, once a dangerous neighbourhood, like all of Comuna 13, but now residential, authentic, safe and with breath-taking views of the valley.
After exploring the local barrio life, you will arrive to our little workshop! There, you will learn how to make one of Colombia’s most iconic street foods: the empanada. You will do everything yourselves, from scratch, with the guidance of a professional chef. This way, you'll take part of Colombian culture with you, as you'll be able to prepare them again at home!
At the end, we’ll sit down to enjoy our freshly made empanadas with a refreshing drink, and ponder on the amazing experience we just had, and how beautiful life in Colombia truly is!
