Meet us at the Estadio Metro Station at 9:00 AM to start a pre-fair experience full of Paisa tradition. You get on the chiva rumbera with crossover music and an entertainer, and we head for Santa Elena. The journey lasts between 1.5 and 2 hours (depending on traffic), and you'll start to feel the atmosphere of the Flower Fair on the way.
Upon arriving at Finca Silletera Los Londoño, you enter a cultural space where you don't just watch: you participate. You start with activities that explain the tradition to you: a silletera model to understand how a silleta is made and its meaning, and a play/cultural show that tells you the history of the silletera in an entertaining way. Then you enjoy a silletero monologue, where you'll learn anecdotes and interesting facts about the countryside and the Feria, and a trova show with Paisa humour (ideal for laughing and learning at the same time).
During the day you'll also experience a mini parade of silleteros: here the audience joins in, takes photos, and feels part of the tradition. There will be spaces with silleteras for you to take the best postcard pictures, and throughout the event you will enjoy party music and a festive atmosphere with areas for socialising.
Around 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM, the most eagerly awaited moment arrives: the typical lunch, which includes an Antioquian sancocho. After lunch, you have time to continue touring, repeat activities, take photos, and enjoy the music and atmosphere of the property.
At 4:00 PM, we start the return trip to Medellín, arriving around 6:00 PM (this may vary due to traffic or the day's operations). As part of the plan, you'll take home a mountain hat with a themed decorative ribbon and a brandy glass, as well as photos and general videos of the sightseeing tour to relive the experience.
