What you can expect

  • Discover Guatapé through its authentic flavours, fascinating history, and spectacular landscapes on a full-day gastronomic adventure from Medellín.

Travel through the mountains of Antioquia and enjoy 7 tastings at different stops along the route, discovering fresh local fruits, traditional sweets, regional specialities, and authentic flavours that tell the storey of the destination.

Visit the town of El Peñol and learn how it was rebuilt after the original town was flooded, then continue to Guatapé, one of Colombia’s most colourful destinations. Walk through its charming streets, discover the famous zócalos that decorate the town’s houses, visit Umbrella Street, and explore the Plaza de los Zócalos.

Enjoy a scenic boat ride across the reservoir while tasting a traditional local dish known as fiambre, and discover regional crafts and typical treats such as solterita.

Along the way, learn about Antioquia’s geography, flora, fauna, and culture, including a fascinating journey through one of Latin America’s longest tunnels. You’ll also enjoy the countryside and mountain scenery before reaching the iconic El Peñol Rock.

With the opportunity to explore the area around the rock and, if you wish, climb its nearly 800 steps, this experience combines two unforgettable ways to discover Guatapé: through its landscapes and through its flavours.
