What you can expect
Join your local host on a private day trip to the unique and beautiful city of Évora: one of Portugal’s most beautifully preserved mediaeval towns. Filled with Portuguese charm, fascinating historical monuments, and delicious regional cuisine, Évora is the perfect escape from busy Lisbon.
In this historic town, you’ll find mediaeval monuments and beautiful arches everywhere you look. Take in the historic vibes and discover why Évora is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Follow your friendly local through the streets and hear stories that date back to Roman times. Visit a Roman temple and learn about Luberalitas Lulia, the ancient town that used to stand here.
See the stunning architecture of the Cathedral and head up to the roof for a 360-degree view. On a clear day, you can even see mountains from this spot! Visit the Bones Chapel, where monks used to meditate on death and feel the eerie atmosphere.
Take a scenic drive back to Lisbon and stop by a family-run cork factory. Speak to the owners and learn how cork is produced from tree to product. Plus get to know the sustainable practises used by this local business.
