Most supercars make you choose. Performance or practicality. Two seats or four. A car for the track or a car for the road. The BMW M4 Competition refuses to choose.
This is the performance saloon that redefined what a four-door car could be. Built by BMW's M division — the same team responsible for some of the most celebrated performance vehicles in motorsport history — the M4 Competition takes the iconic 3 Series platform and transforms it into something that embarrasses dedicated sports cars at every corner.
The Machine
Under the bonnet sits a 3.0-litre BMW M TwinPower Turbo inline-six producing 510 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque. Paired with an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission and BMW's M xDrive all-wheel drive system, the M4 Competition delivers a 0–100 km/h sprint in 3.9 seconds. The carbon fibre roof, M-tuned suspension, active M differential, and available M Drive Professional mode put this firmly in the territory of dedicated sports cars — while still offering four seats and the refinement of a premium BMW interior.
This is a car engineered to the millisecond on the track and polished to perfection for the road. In Comfort mode, it cruises. In Sport Plus, it transforms.
The Experience
This is a full 24-hour self-drive experience. You collect the M4 Competition from our South Melbourne showroom, where our team walks you through the vehicle — drive modes, M settings, launch control, and everything you need before you set off. From that moment, Melbourne is entirely yours.
The M4 is one of the most versatile vehicles in our fleet. It suits the city as much as it suits the open road — equally at home on Toorak Road and the Yarra Valley approach. The four-seat cabin means you can bring a partner or two friends along without compromise. Unlike a two-seat supercar, the M4 lets you share the experience without anyone sitting in the back of a cramped cockpit.
Head south along the Port Phillip Bay coastal road through Brighton and Sandringham. Push east towards the Dandenong Ranges for sweeping corners and open straights. Or simply drive it through Melbourne's most prestigious streets and arrive somewhere in a car that turns heads without announcing itself.
The BMW M4 Competition is the car for the driver who knows that four doors and family-friendly practicality are not mutually exclusive with 510 horsepower and a soundtrack that makes pedestrians stop and stare. For 24 hours, it is yours.
