This isn’t a party boat and it’s not just a paddle. It’s a small-group kayak experience centred on Indigenous storytelling, living ancient traditions, and the deeper history of Xochimilco.
As we move through the canals, we make dedicated stops to share how the ancient lake system was understood by its original inhabitants. Through native sources, traditional sayings, and the original language of the region, we explore the meaning behind the chinampas, the importance of flowers and water, and how daily life grew from this landscape.
Along the way, you’ll pass working chinampas and local canal life, experiencing the calm side of Xochimilco while reconnecting with nature.
We use kayaks instead of motorised boats to keep the experience quiet and respectful of this fragile UNESCO wetland. Small groups allow space for real conversation, questions, and reflection.
The route covers about 5 km (3 miles) over 3 relaxed hours. Beginner-friendly, with a safety briefing before departure.
