What you can expect

  • Day 1: Journey to Mikumi National Park

    Your adventure begins with an early morning ferry departure from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam at 7:00 AM, arriving at approximately 8:30 AM. Upon arrival, transfer to the nearby railway station to board the modern high-speed SGR train departing at 9:30 AM for Morogoro. Relax and enjoy the scenic journey through Tanzania's beautiful countryside, arriving in Morogoro at around 11:10 AM.

    From Morogoro, continue by road to Mikumi National Park, where you'll arrive in the afternoon. After checking in, enjoy a delicious lunch at your lodge before setting out on a cultural visit to a nearby Maasai village. Meet the Maasai people, learn about their traditions, lifestyle, and unique customs, and experience one of Tanzania's most iconic cultures. Later, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

    Day 2: Full-Day Safari Experience

    Start your day with an early breakfast at 6:00 AM, then head into Mikumi National Park for a full-day guided game drive. Explore the park's vast plains and search for a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeests, antelopes, hippos, and many other species in their natural habitat.

    Around midday, enjoy a relaxing buffet lunch at a designated picnic site or safari lodge inside the park before continuing your afternoon game drive. Your professional guide will help you spot more wildlife while sharing fascinating information about the park's ecosystem and its incredible animals.

    In the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and another comfortable overnight stay, surrounded by the peaceful atmosphere of the African wilderness.

    Day 3: Return to Zanzibar

    After breakfast, check out of your lodge and drive back to Morogoro Railway Station. Board the morning SGR train to Dar es Salaam, where you'll transfer to the ferry terminal for your return journey to Zanzibar.

    Arrive back in Zanzibar in the afternoon, bringing your unforgettable 3-day Mikumi National Park Safari to a memorable conclusion.
