You’ll fully explore all three burial pits housing over 8,000 life-sized warriors, horses, and chariots, as well as a special exhibition featuring rare artefacts. Pit 1: Stand in awe before the massive army, alongside occasional excavation work. Pit 2: Decode the ranks of individual warriors from their postures and armour. Pit 3: Explore the command centre of the entire underground army. Your guide won’t just recite history. Drive back city centre to visit the pagoda, another World Heritage site and a Silk Road landmark, where Buddhist scriptures brought from India by Monk Xuanzang were translated and spread across China. Built over 1,300 years ago, centuries before Columbus set sail, this architectural marvel famously survived more than ten major earthquakes.
