Receive a warm welcome from Roberto, the farmer and host, before joining a guided visit of the farm with a member of our team. Stroll through the olive groves with panoramic views of Montepulciano while learning how olives are harvested and turned into extra virgin olive oil. Visit the vineyard and discover more about local wine production.
Meet our Cinta Senese breed pigs, a traditional Tuscan breed, and observe them up close as they forage, dig and relax in their outdoor area. For biosecurity, animal welfare and safety reasons, visitors remain outside the pigs’ enclosure. When conditions and the animals’ behaviour allow, guests may gently touch the pigs through the fence under the guide’s supervision. Direct physical interaction with the animals cannot be guaranteed.
Explore the seasonal vegetable garden and discover what is growing at the time of your visit. You will also visit the ageing room, where cured meats made from pork from Cinta Senese breed pigs are traditionally matured.
End your experience with a traditional Tuscan farm-to-table lunch. The menu includes two bruschettas, followed by a seasonal first course: panzanella in summer and ribollita in winter. You will then enjoy a platter of cured meats made from pork from Cinta Senese breed pigs, followed by a selection of Pecorino cheeses from Pienza served with preserves. Finish with traditional cantucci and Vin Santo. House wine and water are included.
