What you can expect

ExperienceFirst invites you to embark on our Montjuïc Walking Tour, commencing at the Montjuïc Castle, where you'll be introduced to the profound connection between this hill and Barcelona's very essence. As we begin our journey, we'll explore the vibrant gardens and ascend to some remarkable vantage points.

At Mirador del Alcalde, your guide will unravel the history of the former migrant community that once thrived here and the various transformations that have shaped this distinctive hilltop.

We'll revel in the picturesque panorama of Barcelona before proceeding to the Joan Brossa gardens. In this exquisitely landscaped haven, you'll encounter a statue paying homage to the traditional Catalan dance, La Sardana. Further along, we'll visit another dance-related monument, dedicated to Carmen Amaya, the renowned flamenco dancer of humble origins.

Our garden odyssey continues in the enchanting Laribal Gardens, where you'll delve into the mystical facet of Montjuïc. Centuries ago, this location served as a gathering place for witches and wizards. We'll follow the very pathways they once trod, making our way to the Greek Theatre, a site that may have witnessed its fair share of mystical incantations (please note that the Greek Theatre is not accessible until August 4, 2023, due to a festival).

Descending the hill, we'll arrive at our final destination, the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc, constructed in 1929 for the International Exhibition. Take in the architectural marvels of the 20th century that have left their mark on Barcelona, such as the striking Museum of Catalan Art and the picturesque walkway flanked by waterfalls.
