What you can expect

Make the most of your holiday at Montserrat, the multi-peak mountain near Barcelona, at your own pace. Your ticket includes everything you need—return transport, cable car, and funiculars—to reach the top of the mountain, as well as admission to the beautiful abbey and a Catalan lunch.

Take a train from Barcelona and head to the Benedictine monastery of Santa Maria de Montserrat, which is built into the mountain. Many pilgrims come for the statue of the Black Madonna (La Moreneta). Take some time to explore the monastery and its museum, which hosts masterpieces by Dalí, Monet, and Catalan artists from the early 20th century.

For a breathtaking view of the natural beauty of this mountain, take a funicular up to the summit, Sant Jeroni. Breathe the fresh air and admire the fragile and austere vegetation of this enchanting place. Walk along several hiking trails, from the summit station of the funicular to deserted paths, before stopping for a well-deserved lunch in local restaurant.
