As your tour begins, you will be picked up from your accommodation in Sarajevo, where you’ll meet your professional tour guide and settle into a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. Leaving the city behind, enjoy a scenic drive through river valleys, mountains, and countryside as you head towards the Herzegovina region. Along the way, your guide will introduce you to the history and culture of southern Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Konjic - scenic stop by the Neretva River
Your first stop is Konjic, a charming town located on the emerald-green Neretva River. Known for its Ottoman stone bridge and natural surroundings, Konjic offers a perfect introduction to Herzegovina. Enjoy a short photo stop with views of the river and nearby mountains, including Prenj Mountain. Passing through the Jablanica area, your guide will explain the historical importance of the region and the famous Battle of the Neretva, with views of Jablanicko Lake and the remains of a destroyed railway bridge.
Blagaj & the Sufi House (Tekke)
Continuing south, you’ll arrive in Blagaj, a picturesque village famous for the powerful spring of the Buna River. Crystal-clear water flows directly from beneath towering cliffs, creating one of the most impressive natural sights in the country. Here you’ll visit the 15th-century Blagaj Tekke, a historic Sufi house built beside the spring. Learn about its spiritual and cultural significance while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.
Počitelj - an architectural gem from 15th century
Next is Počitelj, a beautifully preserved Ottoman town dating back to the 15th century. Built into a hillside overlooking the Neretva River, Počitelj feels like an open-air museum. You’ll have time to explore narrow stone streets, admire traditional architecture, and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Kravica Waterfalls
The tour continues to the stunning Kravica Waterfalls, one of Herzegovina’s most famous natural attractions. Surrounded by lush greenery, the waterfalls cascade into a wide, clear pool. You’ll have free time to relax, take photos, or, during warmer months, enjoy a quick refreshing swim. Maybe even a boat ride?
Discover Mostar & the Old Bridge
In the afternoon, you’ll arrive in Mostar. Your guide will lead you through the Old Town, where historic streets surround the iconic Old Bridge, a UNESCO-listed masterpiece of 16th-century Ottoman architecture. Learn about the bridge’s destruction during the war and its reconstruction.
