Van Thuy Tu Palace: Next, we visit Van Thuy Tu Palace, a must-see attraction that sits near the fishing port. Here, you’ll find the largest whale skeleton in Southeast Asia, believed to be over 200 years old. The skeleton, known as Ong Nam Hai, is revered by locals and plays a central role in the annual Nghinh Ong Festival. This traditional celebration, held every June, honours the whale and prays for peace and bountiful harvests from the sea. If you’re lucky, you may get to witness the lively preparations for the festival.
Ta Cu Mountain - The Highlight of the Tour: No visit to Phan Thiet is complete without experiencing the breathtaking beauty of Ta Cu Mountain. Board the scenic cable car for a ride up the mountain, where you’ll be greeted by stunning panoramic views. Upon reaching the summit, a short walk up about 100 steps will lead you to the iconic Lying Buddha, a majestic statue that stands 49 metres tall. Along the way, you’ll pass other fascinating statues and enjoy the serene landscape. The mist-covered peaks, cascading waterfalls, and ancient temples create a magical atmosphere, making Ta Cu Mountain a truly unforgettable experience.
