Van Thuy Tu Palace: Next, we visit Van Thuy Tu Palace, a must-see attraction that sits near the fishing port. Here, you’ll find the largest whale skeleton in Southeast Asia, believed to be over 200 years old. The skeleton, known as Ong Nam Hai, is revered by locals and plays a central role in the annual Nghinh Ong Festival. This traditional celebration, held every June, honours the whale and prays for peace and bountiful harvests from the sea. If you’re lucky, you may get to witness the lively preparations for the festival.
