On our tour, we'll visit places where Kassel's musical history came alive: At the Orangery in the Karlsaue park, you'll learn how Landgrave Karl hosted magnificent open-air concerts as early as the 18th century – back then, Kassel was a true hotspot of Baroque festival culture.

We'll continue to Wilhelmshöhe Mountain Park, where nature and music come together in a unique way. Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy visited Kassel several times as a young man. The expansive landscape, the vistas, the Hercules monument, and the sound of the water features would surely have inspired him to compose many a romantic melody.
