What you can expect

  • Kibera slum is located in Nairobi, about 6.6 kilometres (4.1 miles) from the City Centre.

    We are a team of 4 local guides namely;
    ERICK, ZACK, BENTA and OSCAR. We were all born, raised and still live in Kibera Community. We have first-hand insights into the authentic daily life in the Kibera area.

    This tour enables our guests to learn more about the local community's way of life and the history of Kibera slum. The income generated from the booking fees, goes back to the community and helps in running a non-profit Community Based Organisation called KCOOP Organisation.

    We run a non-profit called KCOOP Organisation which was founded and registered in 2022. Our organisation operates in Kibera slums and in rural parts of Kenya. The programmes of KCOOP Organisation include;

    1. Education Programme
    2. Combating Child Hunger
    3. Arts & Sports Programme
    4. Economic Empowerment
    5. Environmental Conservation

    All our regular updates are available on our website and social media pages.

    We are now seeking for like minded individuals, organisations or enterprises for partnership to enable us scale up and grow our programmes for the benefit of the communities we serve.
