Step into a dramatic, otherworldly landscape known as "Hell Valley." This active volcanic crater is the source of Noboribetsu's famous hot springs. We’ll take a 50-minute walk along the main wooden boardwalk, which leads you right into the heart of the valley. Feel the earth’s power as you witness steam venting from the ground, bubbling pools, and the distinct scent of sulphur. A truly raw and photogenic display of nature’s force.

Noboribetsu Onsen

Stroll down the charming "Gokuraku-dori" (Shopping Street) for a relaxing lunch break. Located just steps from Hell Valley, this street is lined with souvenir shops and local eateries. You have 60 minutes to refuel. We highly recommend trying the local speciality "Hell Ramen" (spicy noodles) to match the theme of the day, or enjoy fresh Hokkaido seafood at "Onsen Ichiba." Don't miss the changing face of the Enma (King of Hell) statue if you catch the timing!
