Your experience begins with a convenient pick-up from the location of your choice. We drive you through the beautiful Naxian countryside to the Kouros of Melanes, one of the island’s most iconic archaeological sites. This ancient marble statue lies peacefully in a garden surrounded by olive trees and nature — a serene and powerful introduction to the rich history of Naxos.
From there, you can choose how to continue your journey:
take a beautiful 30-minute hike along a scenic trail from the Kouros of Melanes to the Byzantine church of Agios Georgios, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. The trail is full of vibrant landscapes, offering stunning views and immersive moments in nature.
Alternatively, choose comfortable transport by car to the key points of interest.

If you choose the hiking option, please note that it is self-guided and follows the marked path to Agios Georgios, one of the oldest and most significant churches on the island. We will be waiting for you there to continue your experience!

Both options lead to Melanes Café, a true oasis of tranquility in the heart of Cycladic tradition. Set in a picturesque environment, with flowers spilling over the veranda and mountain views, the café offers the perfect setting to enjoy a relaxed and delicious brunch.

The menu at Melanes Café is full of authentic flavours inspired by Naxos’s culinary heritage. Start with cool, refreshing spring water from the Kouros. Enjoy omelettes, the beloved Kagianas (scrambled eggs with tomato), and our irresistible Melanes Café sandwiches, made with premium Naxian products and full of local flavour.

You can also savour fresh juices from our own estate, the signature homemade lemonade of Melanes Café, and an excellent variety of coffee drinks that highlight the finest beans and blends.

The experience concludes with a complimentary return transfer, taking you back either to your original pick-up point or—if you prefer—to a nearby beach, where you can continue enjoying your swim and relax by the sea.
