What you can expect

  • Take a tour of our distillery and see how we make our famous, award-winning, single malts, from start to finish. Then sit back and enjoy a guided tasting of three of our whiskies.

You will be taken on a walk through time, from our beginnings in 1897 through the height of production in the 1970s, to the present day.

Sitting beneath the beautiful Monadhliath Mountains, in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, Tomatin Distillery is just a short drive from both Inverness and Aviemore.

For our guests arriving by car, we’re pleased to offer the tastings included in each experience as “Driver’s Drams” to take away, ensuring everyone can enjoy a taste of Tomatin responsibly.

Legacy tours start at our visitor centre and run regularly throughout the day but please book in advance to guarantee your place at a time that suits you.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the start time of the tour to allow time for check-in. You will be joining a scheduled tour, and our tours are typically full. If you are running late and arrive after the scheduled time of the tour, you may be unable to join the tour.
