Snorkelling Adventure with an Underwater Scooter
Join us for a small-group snorkelling experience with an underwater scooter along the beautiful coastline of Cap d'Ail. Designed for all levels, this fun and relaxing activity lets you effortlessly explore the Mediterranean while discovering its rich marine life.
Meeting Point
Meet us directly at the Ecole Apnée club, located right by the sea in a peaceful natural setting. The club is easy to reach by train, just 5 minutes from Monaco and 15 minutes from Nice, making it the perfect starting point for your adventure.
You'll receive all the necessary equipment before entering the water: mask, snorkel, fins, a UV-protective lycra or wetsuit, and your own underwater scooter.
The Experience
After a short briefing, you'll start directly from the shoreline and follow your instructor along the coast. The underwater scooter helps you move effortlessly through the water and allows you to explore a much larger area than during a traditional snorkelling trip.
During the tour, we'll make several stops to observe octopus, sea urchins, fish, and other Mediterranean species. Your instructor will also introduce you to the local marine life and explain how to recognise the different species you encounter.
The activity is suitable for everyone. Beginners will quickly feel comfortable using the scooter, while more experienced swimmers can enjoy its speed and maneuverability and even try a few short breath-holds.
Duration
The experience lasts approximately 2 hours:
15 to 30 minutes for welcome, equipment fitting, and briefing.
45 to 75 minutes of guided snorkelling, depending on the group's level.
15 to 30 minutes to return the equipment and change.
Equipment Included
Underwater scooter adapted to your level.
Mask, snorkel, and fins (fins are optional if preferred).
Wetsuit or Barbadiving UV-protective long-sleeve lycra and leggings for comfort, sun protection, and protection against jellyfish.
Your Instructor
Your guide is a certified professional freediving and scuba diving instructor. They will explain how to use the underwater scooter, ensure your safety throughout the activity, and help you discover the local marine environment.
Our Snorkelling Area
Unlike many snorkelling excursions, we don't use a boat. We start directly from the shoreline, allowing us to explore quiet parts of the coast where boats cannot go. Thanks to the underwater scooters, you'll cover more distance and discover areas that are rarely visited during traditional snorkelling trips.
Small Groups
To ensure a safe, friendly, and enjoyable experience, each session is limited to 6 participants.
