What you can expect

Begin your day with a convenient pickup from your hotel or a designated location in Tochigi. Travel in comfort in a private, air-conditioned vehicle with an English-speaking driver. Enjoy the scenic drive to Nikko, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its stunning natural beauty and historic landmarks.

Your first stop is the Nikko Tosho-gu Shrine, a lavishly decorated shrine dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, the founder of the Tokugawa shogunate. Spend an hour exploring the intricate carvings and vibrant colours of this iconic site.

Next, visit the Nikko Futarasan Shrine, a serene and spiritual place surrounded by lush greenery. Spend 45 minutes soaking in the tranquil atmosphere and learning about the shrine's history.

Continue your journey to Kegon Falls, one of Japan's most famous waterfalls. Spend 45 minutes admiring the breathtaking views and taking photos of the cascading water.

Afterwards, head to Lake Chuzenji, a picturesque lake nestled in the mountains. Spend 30 minutes enjoying the peaceful surroundings and taking in the stunning scenery.

Your final stop is the Nikko Tamozawa Imperial Villa Memorial Park, a historic villa that once served as a retreat for the imperial family. Spend an hour exploring the beautifully preserved rooms and gardens.
