The falconry experience in Norcia offers a comprehensive introduction to the world of birds of prey, designed for beginners. The activity takes place in a natural environment in the surroundings of Norcia and begins with a theoretical part dedicated to birds of prey: their characteristics, behaviour and ethology. During this phase, several specimens will be observed up close to understand their habits and their bond with the falconer.
We then move on to the practical part, with an explanation of the basic training techniques and how to care for the falcon on a daily basis, including feeding and general care of the bird. Topics such as the history of falconry and the most common diseases of birds of prey are also covered.
The experience also includes a walk in the woods with the falcon, a unique opportunity to observe the bond between man and animal in a natural and controlled setting. The programme is designed to be educational and engaging, suitable for all beginners interested in learning more about birds of prey and the basics of falconry.
