We will pick you up at the pier where your cruise ship docks, and then we will set off to discover the most beautiful and iconic places in the north of Fuerteventura.
We will head towards Corralejo, taking the scenic road that crosses the Natural Park, and then stop to admire the famous sand dunes and enjoy the wonderful view of the islands of Lobos and Lanzarote.
We'll then head for El Cotillo, passing through the small but lively village of Lajares and skirting agave fields and volcanoes.
We'll stop at the Faro del Tostón, where the view stretches out into the ocean, and you can admire its power on one side and the crystal-clear natural pools on the other. We'll continue to Castillo del Tostón, where we'll take a short walk to admire the coastline with its cliffs and the beautiful beach, often pounded by spectacular waves, known as Piedra Playa.
Here we'll have time for a short break for coffee/souvenirs/bathroom (with a pleasant view of the small marina).
We'll then head to the Villaverde Windmills, from where you can admire Mount Arena and enjoy views of the island's rural hinterland, before making our final stop in the small but charming church square of La Oliva.
From here, we will begin our return journey to Puerto del Rosario, taking the scenic road that runs through the mountains. Along the way, you will be able to see the Sacred Mountain of Tindaya, the monument to Miguel de Unamuno, the rural area of La Matilla, Tetir, La Asomada, and Los Estancos with its technology park and the terminal of Fuerteventura's old airport.
The descent to Puerto del Rosario will give you a beautiful bird's eye view of the city and your cruise ship at rest in the harbour.
Organisation:
During the transfers, I'll tell you a bit about the history of Fuerteventura, the places where we'll stop, and the ones we'll see as we pass by.
During the stops, on the other hand, I will take beautiful, fun and spontaneous photos of you, without too many boring poses. You can enjoy the scenery and get a taste of Fuerteventura's famous “laid-back lifestyle.”
And if you want to take some photos with your smartphone to send to your friends right away, no problem – I'll help you with that too.
The excursion will take place in a 9-seater air-conditioned minivan, but the group will consist of a maximum of 6 people, so that everyone can receive the attention they deserve and we can do things at a leisurely pace in total relaxation.
MEETING TIME: 9:30 a.m., just outside the police checkpoint at the cruise pier.
We will be waiting for you with a colourful pinwheel so you can recognise us.
