Then it's time for the highlight: a real tea plantation experience. Dress like a local tea picker, strap on a traditional basket, and pluck tea leaves by hand while our factory guides explain the process — a moment made for your Instagram. Step inside the factory to see how your cup of tea is actually made, from leaf to cup, then enjoy a complimentary tea tasting — with extra tastings available if you're curious to try more. If you're up for it, we can even visit a second tea factory.
From here, the drive itself becomes one of the best parts of the tour. Your tuk tuk winds through a road lined on both sides with tea plantations, avocado trees, jackfruit trees, and all kinds of authentic greenery — a real, unfiltered slice of Nuwara Eliya's countryside. You'll pass by local homes and get a genuine glimpse into everyday hill-country life, something most tourists never get to see up close. We'll stop often along the way for photos too.
The tour continues to four waterfalls — three viewed from scenic points, and the fourth, Ramboda Falls, reached via a 900m one-way hike. If conditions are right, take a refreshing swim in the falls.
