Feel the power of Portuguese engineering and the wind on your face as we cross the Barrocal trails in a fully open classic jeep. This isn't just a trip; it's a cultural and sensory immersion.
Departing from the Cubist town of Olhão, we ascend to the highest point in the region, the Cerro de São Miguel, where you can enjoy a fantastic view over the Ria Formosa, in a truly unforgettable 360º setting, accompanied by a toast with regional liqueurs and a selection of typical delicacies from our Barrocal.
We continue through the red soils of Moncarapacho to Viveiros Monterosa, where we will have a guided tasting of different premium olive oils (except on Saturdays, when it is closed), learning about the process and the richness of the so-called “liquid gold” up close.
The adventure continues to Pego do Inferno, a wonderful waterfall shrouded in legends and surrounded by lush nature, where you will have the opportunity to dive in and cool off, if you wish and conditions permit.
We then explore the historic old town of Tavira, one of the most enchanting towns in the Algarve, where we visit Tavira Castle, walk across its iconic Roman bridges, discover historic churches, and immerse ourselves in the cultural richness of this ancient town.
We continue along the salt flats route, a unique setting where we will try to spot flamingos and other migratory birds — an experience that is always special, although dependant on natural conditions and the time of year.
Finally, we pass through the picturesque fishing village of Santa Luzia, known as the octopus capital, where you can enjoy its traditional atmosphere and receive local recommendations before returning.
With passionate bilingual guides and a personalised pace, we guarantee an experience rich in stories, landscapes, and traditions that reveal the true essence of the Algarve — far from the conventional itineraries.
