Mt. Fuji Station (Pass by)

Elevation: Standing at 3,776.24 metres (12,389 feet), Mount Fuji is the highest peak in Japan. It is an active volcano It is the tallest mountain in Japan, the second-highest volcano located on an island in Asia. which is covered in snow for about five months of the year, the Mt Fuji erupted last time in 1707. In 2011 there was a major earthquake, which increased the pressure inside Mt. Fuji, but no eruption. Climbing Season: The official climbing season for Mount Fuji is during the summer months, from early July to early September. During this period, the weather is more favourable for climbers, and the mountain's trails are open. Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine

The Arakura Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine, also known as the Chureito Pagoda, is a famous Shinto shrine located in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. It is renowned for its stunning view of Mount Fuji in the background. The shrine and its iconic pagoda offer a picturesque scene that attracts both locals and tourists, especially during the cherry blossom season and autumn foliage. Chureito Pagoda

The Chureito Pagoda is a five storied pagoda on the mountainside overlooking Fujiyoshida City and Mount Fuji off in the distance was built as a peace memorial in 1963 nearly 400 steps up the mountain from the shrine's main buildings. No matter the season, the best time to visit Chureito Pagoda is early morning. Chureito Pagoda is dotted with scenic viewpoints offering majestic views of Mt. Fuji from all around the city.

Lake Kawaguchiko

Lake Kawaguchiko (河口湖) is the most easily accessible of the Fuji Five Lakes with train and direct bus connections to Tokyo. A hot spring resort town with various tourist attractions and views of Mount Fuji is located around the lake's eastern end, while the northern and western shores are mostly undeveloped. The best views of Mount Fuji can be enjoyed from the lake's northern shores and are particularly breathtaking during the cherry blossom season around mid April and the autumn colours around the first half of November. One of the nicest spots for cherry blossoms is the seaside promenade near the Kawaguchiko Music Forest, while photographers will enjoy the "Momiji Tunnel" for autumn colours, a maple tree covered road section along the lake's northern shore.

A great park with an amazing view of Mount Fuji. There are plenty of seasonal flowers but the lavender in mid-June is a crowd favourite and also kind play area

From the observation deck, which sits more than 1000 metres above sea level, there are panoramic views of the lake below and of Mount Fuji.

Fuji-Honcho Main Street

The "Clock street" near Mt. Fuji is more accurately known as Honcho Street or Hikawa Clock Shop Street in Fujiyoshida City, which has gained fame for its iconic "Stairway to Fuji" photo opportunity, where the view of the mountain is framed by retro buildings, lanterns, and overhead wires. Its history is tied to the town's past as a centre for the textile industry, which experienced both prosperity and decline, leaving behind a unique blend of traditional architecture and modern life. The street's recent surge in popularity is due to its photogenic qualities, becoming a viral social media sensation.

Oshino Hakkai

Oshino Hakkai (忍野八海) is a touristy set of eight ponds in Oshino, a small village in the Fuji Five Lake region, located between Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Yamanakako on the site of a former sixth lake that dried out several hundred years ago. The eight ponds are fed by snow melt from the slopes of nearby Mount Fuji that filters down the mountain through porous layers of lava for over 80 years, resulting in very clear spring water that is revered by the locals. Next to one pond, visitors can drink the cool water straight from the source. The ponds are quite deep and have interesting freshwater plant life and large fish. Although the ponds have been developed into tourist attractions and can become quite crowded with visitors, they have a pleasant atmosphere as long as you do not expect untouched nature

Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine

Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine is a prominent Shinto shrine located in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan.
