Yasaka Namba Shrine is a historic Shinto shrine in central Osaka, believed to date back to the 5th century. Dedicated to Susanoo-no-Mikoto, it is known for its dramatic lion-head stage, symbolising protection, good fortune, and the warding off of misfortune amid the surrounding urban landscape.

Den Den Town (Nipponbashi) is Osaka’s hub for electronics, anime, and pop culture. Originally developed as an electronics district in the early 20th century, it later evolved into a centre for gaming, manga, and otaku culture, often compared to Tokyo’s Akihabara.

Spanning the historic Dōtonbori Canal, the bridge offers views of neon-lit streets and river traffic, while the iconic Glico Running Man sign, first installed in 1935, represents Osaka’s energy, optimism, and love of spectacle.
