Fredrik Pettersen – Outdoor Guide
Fredrik Pettersen is a Norwegian outdoor guide, born and raised in the Oslo region, with a lifelong passion for nature and adventure. His background combines practical wilderness experience with a strong ability to lead and connect with people in demanding outdoor environments.
From an early age, Fredrik developed his outdoor skills through scouting, building a solid foundation in navigation, survival, and teamwork. He has since pushed his limits through several long-distance expeditions, including cycling from Portugal to Norway and from southern Norway to Mo i Rana — journeys totaling approximately 5,000–6,000 kilometres. These experiences have strengthened his endurance, resilience, and logistical planning skills.
Fredrik has also completed a 1,000-kilometer paddling expedition from the Yukon region in Canada to Fairbanks, Alaska. During this journey, he lived off-grid in remote wilderness, gaining valuable hands-on experience in survival, risk assessment, and self-sufficiency in harsh and isolated conditions.
In addition to his expedition background, Fredrik has lived in the mountains and worked professionally as a guide. His experience includes leading trips with snowshoes, snowboarding, dog sledding, and snowmobiling. He is comfortable operating in a wide range of weather conditions and terrain, and he focuses on creating safe, memorable experiences for his guests.
Fredrik brings a calm, adaptable, and solution-oriented approach to guiding, always prioritising safety while ensuring that participants feel confident and inspired in nature.
