What you can expect

We will begin our journey at the Tiger Statue outside the Oslo Visitor Centre at Jernbanetorget. We will take a scenic train ride to Frognerseteren station, enjoying the stunning views as the train winds its way through the hills, leading us to the start of our hike.

From here we will make our way through the lush green forest to the majestic Skjennungstoppen mountain. The trail offers a perfect balance of challenging terrain and peaceful pathways, as you make your way through the stunning Norwegian wilderness. Once we reach the summit of Skjennungstoppen, we will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

In this part of the forest you can find fox, beaver, moose, deer, eagle, hare and many other animals! They are all harmless and can be quite elusive but regardless, have your camera ready because you never know what's around the next bend in the trail!

We will have two breaks at a “hytte” (traditional cabin): the cottage of Skjennungenstua and Ullevålseter. They serve great coffee and fresh pastry, such as freshly made waffles, served with jam and sour cream or Norwegian brown cheese. We will also visit the geographic centre of Oslo, which is located right in the middle of the forest!

We end our hike at the always stunning Sognsvann Lake, take the metro line back to the city and finish our trip at Jernbanetorget.

Join us on this amazing adventure and experience the best of Oslo's natural beauty! Whether you're a seasoned hiker or a nature enthusiast, the beauty of the Norwegian forest is sure to take your breath away.
