The “The Missing Blueprint” puzzle tour is no ordinary city tour, but an experience that transforms Würzburg's Baroque backdrop into a lively playing field. What makes the tour so special is the unique combination of culture, history and play: Instead of passively listening, the participants themselves become explorers who, bit by bit, immerse themselves in the world of the great master builder Balthasar Neumann.
The focus is on a mysterious blueprint that was never published and whose fragments are scattered throughout the city. Equipped with a specially prepared investigative puzzle backpack full of locked compartments, puzzle cards and unusual tools, each stop becomes an interactive challenge. Each puzzle solved opens a compartment in the backpack and provides another fragment of the plan, until the complete picture is finally revealed.
Another special feature is that the tour works in an analogue way – without a tablet or mobile app. Participants work with tactile materials, real locks and high-quality puzzle cards. This creates an immediate, authentic experience that challenges the mind, the hands and team spirit in equal measure.
A smartphone with mobile data is only required to listen to an audio sequence and to scan a QR code.
The route takes you to some of Würzburg's most iconic landmarks. In doing so, the groups not only get to know Neumann's architecture but also stories, secrets and anecdotes that often remain hidden in the everyday cityscape.
Whether as a company party, team event, family outing or cultural highlight for tourists – the puzzle tour offers a varied mix of excitement, puzzles, history and shared experiences. It is uniquely tailored to Würzburg and can only be played here, making it a one-of-a-kind experience that will be remembered for a long time to come.
