What you can expect

Begin your day with a pickup from your hotel in Pai. If you choose an early start, you’ll catch the sunrise at Jabo, sipping hot tea or coffee while watching the sun rise over the misty landscape. Spend about an hour here, soaking in the 360-degree views.

Next, head to Pang Oung, also known as the “Switzerland of Thailand.” Admire the beautiful pine trees surrounding the large reservoir nestled in the mountains. Enjoy the cool, fresh air and take photos of the serene scenery. You can also choose to go bamboo rafting on the lake, gliding through the misty waters.

Continue to Rak Thai, a Yunnan Chinese village near the Thai-Myanmar border. Explore the village, known for its large lake, traditional Chinese-style mud houses, and picturesque tea plantations. Sip premium tea from the village’s famous tea farms and try authentic Yunnan cuisine, such as pork knuckle, steamed buns, and oolong tea. Spend about 1 hour 30 minutes here, taking in the views and enjoying the local flavours.

Then, visit Pha Suea Waterfall, one of Mae Hong Son’s most beautiful and famous waterfalls. Located in a lush forest within a national park, the waterfall cascades over wide rock layers, creating a stunning and powerful water curtain. Spend about 30 minutes here, taking in the natural beauty.

Next, stop at Fish Cave, another national park along the route between Pai and Mae Hong Son. Witness the natural wonder of the cave, where schools of fish swim in the clear waters surrounded by lush greenery. Spend about 20 minutes here, marvelling at the unique sight.

On the way back to Pai, stop at Luk Khao Lam Viewpoint, where you can take a short break to use the bathroom and enjoy the 360-degree panoramic views. Spend about 15 minutes here, relaxing and taking in the scenery.

Finally, end your day by watching the sunset at Kiew Lom Viewpoint. Enjoy the most beautiful time of day, surrounded by Pai’s stunning mountain views. Watch the last rays of the sun paint the sky in golden and orange hues, breathe in the fresh air, and capture unforgettable memories.
