Day 1: Dushanbe – Kalai Khum 380km /6-7 h (Southern Road)
Pick-up from your accomodation/airport and drive to Kalai Khum. Along the road visit Hulbuk Fortress.
Lunch
Drive to Kalai Khum. Over a mountain pass to Kalaikhum and the scenery and people change. Here the people are Pamirs, not Tajiks, a number of separate tribal groups with their own languages.
Night in Kalai Khum
Day 2: Kalai Khum – Khorog 240km /8h
Breakfast. Drive to Khorоg. Follow the fascinating road along the Afghan border. On the Tajik side, the road is asphalted and buildings have metal and glass in their construction. On the Afghan side, about 100m away, everything is mud, wood and donkey tracks.
Lunch on the way. Arrival in Khorog
Khorog is the capital of Mountainous Autonomous Badakshan Province. Next to Khorog on a hill is Pamir botanical garden. Visit museum, botanic garden, bazaar
Day 3: Khorog – Garmchashma – Ishkashim 150 km /5h (South Corridor)
Breakfast. Drive to Ishkashim. In the way stop in Garmchashma.
In the upper pool it reaches +600C, flows down on ledge cools of until +400C.

Day 4: Ishkashim – Langar via Wakhan valley 140 km /6-7 h

Day 5: Langar – Murgab 240 km /6-7 h
Breakfast. Drive to Murhab

Day 6: Murgab – Karakul Lake – Murgab 280 km /6-7 h
Along the way views of mountains and glaciers. Photo stop in Ak-Baital Pass 4655 m. This is the highest pass in the former USSR, real “The Roof of the World” and the hidden site in this expanse of arid landscape is the stunning Karakul Lake.

Day 7: Murghab – Bulunkul 150km /3h. (North Corridor)
Breakfast. Drive to Bulunkul.
It is known as one of the coldest inhabited places in the former Soviet Union, with a record minimum temperature of -63C recorded. Even in summer, you should dress warm once the sun goes down
Day 8: Bulunkul – Khorog via Pamir Highway, 145km /5h
Drive to Khorog via Koi-Tezek pass 4271 m. Walk around the area. Lunch on the way. Arrival in Khorog.
Day 9: Khorog – Kalai Khum 240km /8h.
Breakfast. Drive to Kalai Khum through the same route which we came upon arrival.
Day 10
Kalai Khum – Dushanbe 380km /6-7h (Northern Road)
Drive to Dushanbe via Khobu-Robot pass (3252 m). Arrival in Dushanbe.
