Spending some time in Pamplona? And do you want to get to know the highlights and (free entry) sights? Look no further and join the most entertaining walking tour in Pamplona.
This tour is not an extensive history lesson, but a leisurely walk along the main sights of City centre Pamplona. With a focus on fun facts, the pilgrims' Way to Santiago, the inevitable bull run, Hemingway and suggestions about where to enjoy the best pintxos (local snacks) and drinks.
Halfway the tour we will take a break in the oldest and most iconic bar in Pamplona to taste the famous Spanish churros with a cup of tea or coffee.
Your guide, originally from the Netherlands, has lived in Spain since 2020. He's been amazed by some aspects of the Spanish way of life ever since. Precisely because he doesn't take Spanish customs and traditions for granted, he can explain to foreign tourists what makes this culture so special. With no more than 10 participants, the group remains small. So you can easily ask questions and take advantage of your local guide’s knowledge of the city and its surroundings.
There will be lots of photo opportunities and you will learn how to drink from a traditional wine skin! You will also learn how the American writer Hemingway gave Pamplona its international allure. As a former pilgrims hostel owner, your guide can tell you all about the camino (The pilgrims' Way) to Santiago.
Our meeting point is the Bull Run Monument. From there we pass the following highlights: Castle Square, Estafeta Bull Run street, the City Walls with beautiful views, the Cathedral, the last surviving City Gate and many more. We will visit the Bull Run Experience Centre next to the starting point of the annual Bull Run. The tour ends at the City Hall.
A surprising walk with interesting background information and fun facts. Available in English, German and Dutch. The activity provider is registered with the Turismo de Navarra under number UETC0137.
