    Ride a fast boat beside large vessels in the Panama Canal and explore its wild side. Observe capuchins, howler monkeys, sloths, tamarins, or toucans.

    Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes

    Stop At: Gamboa, Gamboa, Colon Province

    Drive through a former US military facility, with a stop for snacks and the bathroom. Pass by the Gamboa–Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute and venture 2 km along the famous birdwatching Pipeline Trail. Walk through the jungle and look out for a vast array of flora and fauna.

    Pass By: Centennial Bridge, Pan-American Highway, Panama City Panama

    The Centennial Bridge crosses the Culebra Cut (Gaillard Cut) close to the Pedro Miguel locks where we are going to make a quick stop. This is a nice scenic view over where the original French excavation had lots of difficulty. The bridge is a cable-stayed design with a total span of 1,052 m (3,451 ft). The main span is 420 m (1,380 ft) and clears the canal by 80 m (260 ft), allowing large vessels to pass below it.
