USS Bowfin Submarine Museum & Park

USS Bowfin is a fleet attack submarine that fought in the Pacific during WWII, and helped to make famous the term, “Silent Service.” Bowfin was launched on 7 December 1942, exactly one year after the attack on Pearl Harbour. She was nicknamed the Pearl Harbour Avenger, so it is fitting that her permanent home is at Pearl Harbour, Hawai’i.

The USS Missouri was the third US Navy ship to be named after the Show Me state and the fourth American warship to bear the name - there was a Confederate Missouri that was captured by Union forces during the Civil War but never commissioned as a United States Ship.
