What you can expect

Our experience kicks off at Praça Mauá, a revitalised spot in Rio de Janeiro where the futuristic Museum of Tomorrow is located. From there, we'll walk to the impressive Mural das Etnias, one of the world's largest works of urban art, which celebrates the diversity of peoples and their cultural roots.

We'll head to Cais do Valongo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, considered the largest port of entry for enslaved Africans in the Americas. Next, we'll visit the Instituto Pretos Novos, a memorial space that preserves African history and ancestry in Brazil.

Our immersion continues at MUHCAB – Museum of Afro-Brazilian History and Culture, which brings together exhibitions, works, and narratives that highlight the black presence in the formation of Rio and the country.

Then, we'll stroll through the charming streets to Largo São Francisco da Prainha, the heart of Little Africa, full of life, history, and bohemian vibes.

That's where we'll have a special stop at a House of Culture and Restaurant, where you can taste the best acarajé in Rio de Janeiro! The house chef shares stories with each dish, turning the meal into a true journey of flavours and ancestry. Signature drinks with Afro-Brazilian spices are also available separately.

If you're vegan, vegetarian, or have a food intolerance, we'll adapt the dish especially for you.

In the late afternoon, the space still offers the opportunity to relax to the sound of the best Brazilian and international music, in addition to having a bookshop and even a beauty salon for those who want to extend the experience.

And for those who want to experience the night like a true Carioca, I suggest visiting Samba da Pedra do Sal to feel the energy that pulsates in the city.
