Perugia also holds a special place in the art world as the heart of the Umbrian School of painting during the 15th and 16th centuries. Great masters such as Pietro Vannucci (known as Perugino) and Bernardino Betti (known as Pinturicchio) worked here. The young Raphael trained in Perugino’s workshop until 1504.

You’ll also discover the storey behind its most iconic creation, the famous Baci Perugina—a symbol of Italian sweetness known and loved around the world.
